Explore Balancing Your Body and Mind This is an ongoing class in which we explore the diverse elements of the Self-Responsibility workshop in a 2 hours class focusing mainly on proper body alignment and bio-mechanics of movement.  This class is designed to train the particpant to explore the benefits of physical exercises that will assist to correct muscle imbalances due to  poor posture habits, which in many cases lead to chronic pains throughout the body: turn out /in feet, forward head, shoulder imbalance, pelvic imbalances, leg length imbalances and scoliosis. Poor postural habits result in chronic pains: head, neck, shoulders, back, arms, wrist, hip, legs and feet. We do not claim to fix all your pains, our class is focus on educating you in using your body properly with minimum effort; as a group we will assist each other to take self- responsibility and bring our bodies back in a state of balance and relaxation. Self-Responsibility workshops adhere to the Bhagavad Gita’s chapters 3 and 4; Yoga of Jnana/Knowledge and Karma/Action. These two Yoga practices are key elements in the embodiment of truth and activity in a non-objective manner. Jnana - Yoga of knowledge lead us to make a reality check of our temporary possessions and their innate properties: our bodies, minds and electromagnetic energy fields. Karma - Yoga of action inspires us to act without seeking the rewards of our actions; emphasizing that if our actions are accompanied with expectations, our overall development will be limited accordingly to those expectations. Therefore, by observing carefully these two Yoga practices our meditation and acceptance of all that is, can be practiced freely everywhere and in any setting. The following is the tentative outline of the class; however, this is a very organic class and we will be accomodating the exercises according to the group’s energy. Body warm up focusing on proper body alignment and bio-mechanics: o Gyrokinesis o Pilates o Yoga Exploration of corrective body alignment exercises for a particular part of the body (each class will vary): o Head, shoulders, back, arms, pelvis, knees and feet. o Biomechanics of Movement; breathing, seating, walking, standing, Jumping, running Qigong practice: o Grounding o Sensitizing the body o Gathering Yin & Yang Energy o Directing Qi flow o Wuji meditation o Partnering and group energywork Light bodywork practice o Sensitizing the body; through partnering or group exercises o Deepening relaxation o Developing effortless moving awareness Sensory exploration o Isolating and unifying the senses o Partnering dynamics: exploring relationships o Blindfolded exercises o Imagery and visualization Meditation o Group guided o Singing bowl o Open eyes o Solo and with partner

Your spine health and mobility are essential elements for harmonizing your body and mind. “90% of the stimulation and nutrition of the brain is generated by the movement of the spine… 10% of our brain’s energy goes into thinking, metabolism, immunity, and healing… 90% of brain energy goes into processing and maintaining the body’s relationship with gravity” Neuropsychologist/Neurobiologist Roger W.
